The 2024 ThaiPadelSeries came to a thrilling conclusion with the Bangkok Master Finals, held from November 29th to December 1st at Kross Padel Bangkok. This highly anticipated event marked the end of a spectacular season, gathering players and fans from around the world for an unforgettable weekend of intense matches, camaraderie, and celebration.
Preliminary rounds took place across two premier venues, Kross Padel Onnut and Kross Padel Indoor Rama 4, leading up to the main event. With an impressive turnout of 122 unique players competing across five categories—Male Pro, Female Pro, Male Amateur, Female Amateur, and Mixed—this was the largest and most diverse event of the year. Players who didn’t make it past the first round had the chance to battle it out in the consolation draw, ensuring everyone stayed in the action.
A Weekend Full of Excitement
The atmosphere was electrifying. From early morning matches to late-night celebrations, Bangkok became the epicenter of padel for three days. The event featured much more than just top-tier competition: live music, a chill-out zone, pool access, saunas, and, of course, the lively presence of PadelPhant, the official ThaiPadelSeries mascot, who kept the crowd entertained between matches.
Participants came from all over the globe—Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Middle East, Europe, and even Latin America—making this a truly international celebration of padel.
Standout Matches and Champions
The Female Amateur category featured tight matches from the semifinals onward. In the first semifinal, Mariia G. and Regina K. defeated Natcha and Toon with a solid performance (6-3, 6-1). The second semifinal was a close contest, with Natt and Natalie prevailing over Uny Y. and Ekaterina in straight sets (6-3, 6-4). The final brought an exciting duel, but Mariia and Regina’s consistency secured their championship with a 6-3, 6-3 victory.
The Male Amateur division saw high-level clashes in the semifinals. Artemii B. and Andrey advanced to the finals with a decisive win over Matt N. and Kenneth (6-4, 6-2), while Andrian S. and Stepan overpowered Javier C. and Sergei D. with an impressive 6-2, 6-0 victory. In the final, Artemii and Andrey displayed exceptional teamwork and focus to clinch the title, 7-5, 6-3, in a thrilling match.
The Mixed Category semifinals were closely fought. Laura M. and Conor T. defeated Pann and Mauro in a commanding performance (6-4, 6-3), while Artemii B. and Iryna C. earned their spot in the finals with a hard-fought 6-4, 6-4 victory over Regina and Ilya G. The final saw Laura and Conor elevate their game, winning in straight sets (6-3, 6-4) to cement their dominance in the category.
The Female Pro semifinals showcased the best of padel. Pann and Laura emerged victorious against Thassha and Lara in an intense three-set battle (6-3, 4-6, 6-4). Meanwhile, Iryna C. and Regina K. displayed their strength, cruising past Saranya W. and Olga with a commanding 6-1, 6-1 win. In the final, Iryna and Regina dominated with another 6-1, 6-1 performance, securing the championship and confirming their status as the pair to beat.
The Male Pro category brought the most electrifying matches of the tournament. In the first semifinal, Xavi Beneito and Damien Hall defeated Eles and Mauro with a clinical display (6-2, 6-3). On the other side, Nacho Carbonero and Lau Daddona battled past Mika H. and Simon S. in a dramatic match (7-6, 6-4). The final was a masterpiece of skill and intensity. Xavi and Damien captured the first set 6-3, and despite a strong challenge from Nacho and Lau in the second, they held their nerve in a tiebreak (7-6) to retain their title for the second consecutive year.
Celebration and Awards
The event concluded with an exciting award ceremony, distributing over 400,000 THB in prizes to the top performers. Special recognition went to Mauro, who claimed the title of 2024 Male Pro Ranking Champion as the most consistent player of the season.
