The recent Thai Padel Series 2024 event at Blue Tree Phuket in the prestigious PADEL PHUKET club was a spectacular success. With over 100 players showcasing their best skills across five categories, the weekend was filled with memorable moments both on and off the court. More than 400 attendees gathered to support the players and experience this amazing padel tournament in Thailand.
The event was packed with excitement and a few challenges. Despite the tension caused by the weather, with rain on both tournament days leaving two outdoor courts unusable, players and organizers adapted to the conditions to keep the tournament on track. Our official sponsor, GWOON, brought their new line of apparel and sports gear, giving attendees the chance to explore their high-quality products. Adding to the event’s festive atmosphere, our good friend David delighted everyone with a fantastic paella and ice-cold beer, creating an even more enjoyable environment.
Talent and Passion in Every Category
The tournament featured truly inspiring performances, such as that of Troy S., the youngest player in the championship at only 10 years old, who made it to the Amateur Male finals with his father Timo S., stunning high-level opponents. The title in this category went to Ghislain and Gal with a thrilling 6/4, 2/6, 6/2 victory.
In Amateur Female, Liza S. and Uny took the title after an intense match against Joy and Vee that kept the audience on the edge of their seats.
Main Categories: Female Pro and Male Pro
The Female Pro category brought together 16 talented players in a fierce competition. In the final, the team Pann/Laura from Phangan faced Olga/Iryna from Phuket. After a highly competitive match, Pann and Laura took the title with a score of 7/5, 6/2.
In Male Pro, the tournament was full of surprises. In the semifinals, the reigning champions from the Samui Major, Nacho C./Lau, were defeated by Borja P./Mauro in a gripping three-set match. Meanwhile, Mauro/Eles defeated Antonio and Conor, who continue to raise their level with each tournament. The grand final was epic, with the crowd’s energy fueling the intense gameplay. Borja and Javier Mobas turned the match around after Mauro and Eles claimed the first set in a tiebreak.
